Tinashe Masango is Grace Bay Medical’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner. Having completed training in psychiatric Nursing at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University in the United Kingdom he has 17 years of experience working in varying fields of mental health care.

Tinashe’s role entails carrying out mental health and wellbeing assessments for the following conditions but not exclusive to these alone:

  • Anxiety Type Disorders
  • Depression
  • Psychosis
  • Mood Disorders
  • Eating Disorders
  • Trauma
  • Personality Disorders.

He has worked as a crisis and psychiatric liaison practitioner in North West London and the Midlands in the UK and is in a position to offer this service to patients in acute distress. Treatments provided are based on the following therapies:

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement
  • Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Informed Therapy
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Grief Counseling

Tinashe is in a position to provide sound information and advice on the psychotropic medication used in the treatment of mental health illnesses and disorders.

Tinashe also carries out initial screening for neurodevelopmental difficulties such as Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) having worked as a part of teams where he carried out assessments and was diagnosed as part of a team.

Tinashe has worked in senior roles in the National Health Service (NHS) the last of which was within the Clinical Governance Directorate at Central Northwest London NHS Foundation Trust where he also completed his Master’s degree in Clinical Leadership and Healthcare Education.

Tinashe specifically worked within the Pharmacy directorate where he also took a role as a visiting Lecturer at the University of West London (formerly known as Thames Valley University) and taught Nursing students Medicines management and psychotropic pharmacology.  In the last 12 years, he has worked with children, adolescents, and Adults in outpatients services in England, Wales, and the Channel Island of Jersey.

Tinashe is passionate about his work and prioritizes confidentiality, engagement, and a patient-centered approach in his work.
