We have a resident board certified internist in the clinic who supports the team with his specialist knowledge. He is backed up by colleagues located overseas who consult on more complex cases.
We have easy access to three cardiologists, all with slightly different subspecialties in cardiology. We also have access to an infectious disease specialist, a rheumatologist and immunologist, a critical care intensivist and respiratory specialist. We also have an Ophthalmic surgeon/Ophthalmologist on staff.
Thus our internal medicine service is both robust and broad. It is supported by our ability to perform advanced ultrasound imaging including cardiac studies, including dobutamine stress echo testing which is becoming the hallmark of assessing cardiac function and identifying cardiac disease.
Yes, we are able to assess for all respiratory diseases. The investigations required to support clinical examinations are chest x-ray and spirometry. Both are carried out in our clinic and often at the tome of the consultation.
As we offer sleep studies as well we are more than equipped to assess and manage asthma and all other respiratory conditions.
