Dr. Lucy Matthews completed all medical and general practitioner training in the UK.

“I wanted to be able to provide a more holistic and detailed medical care than the NHS allowed. Working at Grace Bay Medical Centre allows me to provide urgent care to patients along with general health, cancer screening, disease prevention and wellness all within one visit.

At medical school I discovered I was well-suited to problem solving and found that general practice provided the greatest breadth of medical issues. I aspire to excellence in clinical medicine and enjoy the challenges and variety family practice brings. Great, evidence-based care of my patients is my focus, and I enjoy the variety my career and work in the Islands has brought me.”
