Dr. Lakier Williams is a dedicated General Practitioner with a passion for patient-centered healthcare. Her journey into medicine began at the University of the West Indies, where she pursued her M.B.B.S degree from 2016 to 2021.
To further enrich her medical expertise, Dr. Williams completed a one-year mandatory internship program at the Spanish Town Hospital in Spanish Town, Jamaica, concluding in November 2022.
Prior to her medical career, she studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Westminster in London, England, from 2013 to 2016, earning her BSc degree.
With a commitment to providing comprehensive care, Dr. Williams has gained valuable experience in various medical specialties during her internship, including Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her hands-on involvement with patients from triage to discharge has honed her clinical skills and nurtured her empathetic approach to healthcare.
Currently practicing in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Dr. Williams focuses on General Medicine and Practice. Her philosophy centers on patient empowerment, aiming to educate individuals about their health. Creating a comfortable and open space for discussion is paramount in her approach to patient care.
Fluent in English, she ensures effective communication with her diverse patient base.
Beyond her medical career, Dr. Williams finds joy in reading, cooking, savouring favourite dishes, and cherishing moments with her growing family.
