Dr. Jan Aler has been a general physician for 15 years. He received his medical degree from the University of Perpetual Help – Jonelta Foundation School of Medicine in the Philippines and graduated top of his class in 2007.
Dr. Aler his post graduate internship in 2007-08 at The Medical City – a JCI accredited tertiary level medical center in the Philippines. He passed the National Physician Licensure in 2009.
He has spent the first half of his career (2009-2013) in general practice, working as the lead clinician in (2) two secondary level hospitals in the Philippines.
Dr. Jan Aler then moved overseas and started working as an Emergency Physician in Suriname, South America, in 2013-2015. In 2016, he came to the Turks and Caicos Islands and started working with Interhealth Canada as a Locum physician in the Emergency Department of Cheshire Hall Medical Center.
Later on, he became a full-time staff as a general practitioner in both emergency and outpatient department in Cockburn Town Medical Center in Grand Turk from 2017-2021, after which he joined Grace Bay Medical Center.
